Places to stay in Port Elliot - Port Elliot Holiday Park

an amazing scenery of the Port Elliot

Port Elliot Holiday Park was a large part of my youth growing up. Coming down from Hahndorf and every summer holidays to the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, we used to pitch the tent and spend 2 weeks in the holiday park overlooking the spectacular Horseshoe Bay.

Coming down to Port Elliot every January was the highlight of my year as I got to go surfing all day everyday, meet great friends whose families also stayed in the caravan park and enjoy the adventures the region has to offer. This is when I fell in love with the Fleurieu Peninsula, my passion for surfing was developed and I have my greatest family memories.

The Port Elliot Holiday Park has a range of Cottages, Villas, Holiday Units or Holiday Cabins if you are looking for a great Port Elliot Holiday Accommodation option. Alternatively if you are looking for places to stay in Port Elliot and camping is your preference, then the holiday park offers powered, unpowered, drive through caravan sites, sites for the largest motor homes and all are lawned with many offering exclusive shade.

The Port Elliot offers great and fun things to do in Fleurieu Peninsula. On site, there is a giant jumping pillow for the kids, you can ride bikes around, there is a half court basketball area, a range of free DVD's for overnight hire and amazing open space to kick the footy, fly the kite or have a game of cricket. There is an adventure playground and a spinning pod (with plans for future expansion). And of course there is Horseshoe Bay right there on the doorstep of the park, an endless resource of fun and entertainment.

When staying in Port Elliot there are a few must do's including the awesome surf lessons down the road, but alternatively there is riding on the encounter bikeway, visiting the iconic Port Elliot Bakery and lining up down the street to get your favourite pastry or whale watching from the cliffs during winter.

All in all Port Elliot is a brilliant place to stay on the Fleurieu Peninsula, the town has great little shops, cool cafes, 2 pubs and more.

If you haven't stayed at Port Elliot Holiday Park, you are looking for somewhere to stay with the family or friends then you must give it a try.
